Ingredients
400g lean minced mutton/minced chicken
Ground black peppercorns
Salt
100g breadcrumbs
1 egg
Sunflower oil
2 clove garlic, crushed and chopped
1 bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
Small piece of fresh ginger
1tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 burger buns
2 tomatoes, sliced
¼ lettuce, shredded
4 cheese slices(optional)
ketchup, mayonnaise and mild mustard( for toppings)
Directions
Take the meat and season well with salt and pepper. Add the Worcestershire sauce ,chopped coriander, ginger and garlic and process until the mixture is smooth.Using wet hands, divide the mixture into 8 small balls and lightly flatten,
Beat 1 egg and dip the patties in egg first and then lightly coat with breadcrumbs.
Shallow fry/Deep Fry in sunflower oil until golden on each side. You can bake it as well.
Slice the burgers in half and toast lightly.
Assemble the burgers with cheese slices, tomatoes and lettuce and the chicken/mutton patty. Serve with a selection of ketchup, mayonnaise and mild mustard for toppings..
